Live odds format converter
Enter Decimal, Hong Kong, Malay, American or Indonesian odds to compare the same price across regional formats, single-price implied probability and an illustrative return. This does not fetch a live market or predict an outcome.
Formulas: Hong Kong = decimal − 1. Malay is positive up to decimal 2.00 and negative above it. Indonesian uses the opposite sign branch. American uses a 100-unit reference. Implied probability = 100 ÷ decimal.
The accepted betslip controls the actual price, market, stake and settlement. Recheck changed odds before confirming anything.
Open the standalone six-format betting odds calculator for fractional input, payout and profit.
Live odds guide: the quick answer
Live betting, also called in-play or in-running betting, happens while an event is underway. Prices change as the score, time, participants and market liabilities change. The price visible on an event page is not necessarily the price that will be accepted; the final betslip, changed-odds prompt and confirmation record control the wager.
How to use the live odds converter
Choose the format shown on an illustrative selection, enter its price, add a stake only to understand the return mathematics, and submit the form. The converter accepts Decimal, Hong Kong, Malay, American and Indonesian notation, then shows equivalent regional formats, an approximate fractional display and single-price implied probability. It does not fetch Luckly.gg, identify value, recommend a market or account for the margin across every outcome.
| Output | Formula from decimal odds D | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Hong Kong | D − 1 | Net profit per unit staked |
| Malay when D ≤ 2 | +(D − 1) | Positive profit rate per unit |
| Malay when D > 2 | −1 ÷ (D − 1) | Negative stake ratio to one profit unit |
| American when D ≥ 2 | +100 × (D − 1) | Profit on a 100-unit stake |
| American when D < 2 | −100 ÷ (D − 1) | Stake needed for 100 units of profit |
| Indonesian | +(D − 1) at D ≥ 2; otherwise −1 ÷ (D − 1) | American-style ratio divided by 100 |
| Implied probability | 100 ÷ D | Break-even percentage for that one displayed price before market margin |
| Total return | Stake × D | Illustrative stake plus profit if settled as a win |
Why live odds move
A sportsbook continually updates its estimate and exposure as new event information arrives. A goal, foul, injury, timeout, possession change or elapsed minute can alter a market or suspend it. Prices can also move even when the broadcast picture looks quiet, because the operator's data feed may be ahead of the viewer's stream.
- Do not assume an old price will still be available after tapping it.
- Read whether changed odds are accepted automatically, rejected or shown for confirmation.
- A suspended market is unavailable for confirmation even if the selection remains visible.
- Skip a market if there is not enough time to verify the event, selection, line and price.
Broadcast latency and bet acceptance delay
The UK Gambling Commission explains that spectators at an event may receive information before viewers watching delayed television or online streams. Operators can also add a processing delay between pressing ‘place bet’ and confirming an in-play wager. These gaps protect market integrity but can disadvantage someone treating the broadcast picture as perfectly live.
| Delay | What it means for the bettor |
|---|---|
| Broadcast latency | The event may be ahead of the picture on screen |
| Data-feed timing | The sportsbook may suspend or reprice before the viewer sees why |
| Acceptance delay | The requested wager is not final until confirmation appears |
| Connection delay | A slow device or network can add another gap |
The live betslip check
Before confirming, reread the full ticket rather than the event headline. Check the correct match, participant, market, selection, line, odds, stake and displayed potential return. Confirm whether overtime or extra time counts and whether the market is a single or part of a multiple. Remove any selection that changed into something you did not intend.
| Betslip field | Question before confirmation |
|---|---|
| Event | Is this the correct match and live period? |
| Market and selection | Is the exact condition understood? |
| Line and odds | Did either value change after selection? |
| Stake | Is it within the preset entertainment budget? |
| Confirmation | Is there an accepted ticket reference? |
Settlement, cash out and disputed live bets
Keep the accepted ticket and market wording until settlement. Abandonment, postponement, official-result corrections, overtime rules and player participation can affect different markets in different ways. A cash-out value is an optional offer, not a guaranteed exit. If a ticket looks wrong, read the published rule and contact authenticated support rather than placing another wager to recover it.
Luckly sportsbook and safer live betting
Luckly.gg publicly positions itself as a sports-betting service, but this page does not claim a particular live event, market, price, limit or cash-out option is available. Use the dedicated Luckly sportsbook guide to check the current service before registration. Set a fixed stake and stop time in advance; do not chase rapid price movement, a missed market or a previous loss.
- Disable automatic acceptance of changed odds if it causes unintended tickets.
- Do not increase the stake because a countdown or price movement creates urgency.
- Take a break when the pace prevents calm review.
- Use time-outs, deposit limits or self-exclusion if control becomes difficult.
Before real-money play
Move from research to real betting only when gambling is legal where you are, the rules are clear, and your session budget is already fixed.
- Do not use demo outcomes as a prediction of real-money results.
- Check active promotion terms before staking bonus or cash balance.
- Pause and use support resources if gambling stops feeling recreational.
